Sorry

This is the author/player speaking again. Sorry about the extreme lack of updates, I lost my ability to pay for the subscription back in January and thus haven’t been able to play with Heka. With any luck (and a new paycheck!) I should be able to restart my subscription over the summer and get this going again.

Author out,

Syndicate and Ogres

As it turns out, the Alterac Mountains aren’t as empty as I’d first thought. A banshee that took up residence in Tarren Mill asked me to start whittling away at the numbers of the ogres in the mountains in preparation for reclaiming some magical artifact. The ogres know only basic words, shouting things like “I crush you!” while attacking. Read the rest of this entry »

Shattrath

There hasn’t been much to do lately, as far as running off on adventures and quests and such, so I’ve been exploring my world a little bit more. The Alterac Mountains, for example, just north of the Hillsbrad Foothills, are gorgeous and completely covered in snow. Ogres and yetis live up there, for the most part, although I did come across a large crater surrounded by purple runes–almost like the runes used to summon demons. A flickering purple dome extends over and around the crater, along with a ‘guard’ of Dalaran mages and their minions. It’s quite pretty though. I also ran across a small village, a collection of houses really, of humans. They attacked me on sight, the bastards. Don’t they know that the sin’dorei are just trying to make a life for themselves on this world? Honestly, these people just can’t be polite enough to ask questions! Read the rest of this entry »

Delivery Girl

I resent being used as a delivery girl. At least with the completion of the delivery, I could finally leave Splintertree Post and do some exploring in the Barrens and to the south of the area. In any event, I was asked to pick up a set of supplies for the Warsong Lumber Camp, including rope, a special oil, saw blades, and axes. The saw blades should have been easy, really, but the damnable goblin who had them refused to give the shipment to me until I’d gotten him a Deadly Blunderbuss–this rather strange gun that engineers and goblins seem attached to. It was no easy find, let me tell ya.

Boooring

The Barrens are boring. I don’t get the hype over the area at all. Everyone I’ve ever talked to about the Barrens says that usually there isn’t enough space to hear yourself think, much less speak coherently.
Well, let me tell you, I’ve spent three whole days in the Barrens, and they are beyond boring. It’s just the same land over and over again, with the same colours, the same beasties, and the same towns. Nothing ever happens, I swear.

Back to the Barrens

I have returned to the Barrens to do some exploring, for the most part. The biggest downside is that the Barrens is huge. Since I don’t have a mount of any sort quite yet (they are very expensive), I have to walk everywhere in the area–I’ve been spending most of my time here walking between places.

Whoopsies

I have gotten very caught up in my work recently, and am truly sorry for forgetting to post here. I managed to collect the necessary scout reports from Ashenvale along with a few other odd-jobs, and flew back to Orgrimmar to collect my rewards. Since I had originally been sent to the Orc city by the Dark Lady, I decided to return to the Undercity in the Tirisfal Glades and see what else I could do. She directed me to the Trade Quarter, saying that a warlock wished to speak with me.

Dar’Khan and Kalimdor

I killed Dar’Khan yesterday. All things considered, this was an amazing achievement, even with the help of a friendly Tauren hunter that I ran into. Dar’Khan the traitor had placed in himself on the lowest level of the center-most tower of Deatholme–the Tower of the Damned. Getting to the tower was relatively easy, given my earlier forays into the Scourge base, but once inside things changed. Two necromancers guarded the entryway along with a patrolling Eye of Dar’khan–a wraith-like being wreathed in shadow, that reports directly to Dar’Khan. Each of the necromancers, like we warlocks, had a pet. They were some kind of skeletal warrior that I’d not seen before. With the help of my Tauren friend, we killed the necromancers and their pets before moving into the lowest level of the tower. On this level we found Dar’Khan and two more Deatholme necromancers that were guarding him. I immediately had my voidwalker attack one of the necromancers, while I moved in on Dar’Khan.

LFG

I spent most of today looking for people to group up with; it’s very rare that I run into other people in the Ghostlands. I’ve been asked by the Magister of the Sanctum of the Sun to destroy Dar’Khan, the traitor blood elf who is currently commanding the Scourge–a large host of highly unfriendly undead. I’m not too sure on how the Scourge differ from the Forsaken, but since the Forsaken are currently helping us with the Scourge, I suppose that could be considered a key difference. I was severely injured several times whilst scouting out Deatholme, the main base of the Scourge in the Ghostlands, but thank the gods I had healing potions with me, otherwise I’d be dead for good. Grimvhug did his job well, although I’m sure by the third summons he was considering rebellion. The voidwalker is no match for me, subservience is too ingrained in his kind for him to really be considered to have a mind of his own, even.

However, I must rest now, for tomorrow begins another long day of searching for the right group to help me destroy the traitor.

I found this the other day…

I’m not really sure what to think about it:
